Empathy as Life poems

The privileged amnesic in luxury
The poor   passionate  for  equality
 Though the wolf   is  wild
The lamb  deserves   life dignified
The Sun radiates truth  objective
The moon pours peace stunning
Truth appears  in   green
Along with  your fellow  humans
Love  the plants,  animals
and  the Earth  in the same breath  .

CO-EXISTENCE

War has been  in  man’s heart
Since the first dawn
He slays to survive and surmount
He confounds his being.

Peace too prevailed   in  man’s bosom
Since the first dawn
He  fosters  love and   altruism
    finds bliss in his being.

 Noble Suffering

Siddhartha searched  for  Enlightenment
He  changed cruelty into kindness
Like a swan that separated milk from water

Jesus sought   the kingdom of god
He forbore crucifixion
A rose whose heart pierced by a thorn

Lincoln fought  to abolish slavery
He was shot  for his reform
Like a jasmine drenched in blood

Gandhi  melted the hearts of  the lead
When a bullet pierced him, he prayed
A chrysanthemum  fell in silence

Theresa  became   Mother to the destitute
Like a nectar to the one in the throes of  death

Mandela and  Aung San Suu kyi  suffered  solitary  for the people
Like  stars shining defiantly  in the dark.

Questions Endless

Why butchery mutual?
Beheading the fellow humans?
Bombing the mud houses?
Gunning down girls and boys?
Spraying bullets into artists?
Trampling flowers ?
Why do we see vacuous hearts?
Dead souls?
Living corpses??
