aptness in mother-in-law’s house
Tweaked the elder sister the cheek of the young
for teasing her brother-in-law
Ready for making of milky rice the
tender pumpkin grown on the hut
Threw the brother-in-law the cracker at
sister-in-law to giggle at her terror
Shone the lamps like drops of tears of joy
Of the peasants and workers
The most novel stream of curious joy
bloomed in each house on the street.
