SELF-MOTIVATION FOR STUDENTS

Self-motivation is essential to find and go forward on the road to success. At present the parents, relatives or teachers are imposing the choice of profession on students. This may be fruitless and deadly for the career of the student in the long run. .

Various factors such family, friends or prospects of money or status would usually influence the career choice. If there is no self- motivation, young people may be unhappy at one or other point of time in their lives. They will be like a house divided against itself.

Self- motivation made Kalam and Obama to overcome the hurdles of poverty or colour to become the Presidents of India and America in that order.

To find motivation in your self, you need to discover your passion. Remember that all professions—engineering, law, medicine, teaching, journalism or business administration etc. are honourable in themselves. An engineer constructs a real or virtual world, a lawyer argues for justice, a doctor cures diseases, a professor gives knowledge, a journalist spreads news, and an executive brings order in the affairs of a company. Honest work always pays. There is no need to feel inferiority or superiority over one’s profession.

Mokshagundam Viswesaraya, Justice Alladi Krishnaswami Aiyar, Dr. Soma Raju, P.Sainath, Professor Amartya Sen and Narayana Murthy are a few exemplars of honesty and stand as beacons of light in their respective fields.

You must have a personal goal. Be zealous about it.
You have to make a plan. Otherwise you are planning to fail.
You have to dream a dream. Put efforts to realize your dream.
Write down your goals.
Set down goal which are specific, positive and practical.
Break the main goal into subgoals.
Achieve short term goals to enthuse your self.
Love your goals dearly
Allow your goals into your subconscious
Be relaxed, learn more, achieve your goals
Remember that if failure is a stepping stone to success
Success must lead to happiness, the final goal of all of us.
The royal road to success lies in smart work -- intelligent hard work.
